Each year Communities Foundation of Texas carefully reviews hundreds of nonprofit requests and summarizes recommended projects for our Giving Guide. CFT’s Giving Guide is an online and print resource used by our donors and the community-at-large to make decisions on funding charitable organizations. The Giving Guide becomes a key tool for our donors and their families to use when making decisions on how to make an impact locally. The CFT team uses the Giving Guide to assist donors in narrowing down the thousands of nonprofits in North Texas and finding organizations whose impact areas align with the donor’s focus areas.
In order for a nonprofit to be considered for the Giving Guide, they must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) outlining their critical funding needs each year. In addition, a limited number of requests submitted through the LOI process will also be funded by CFT using the foundation’s discretionary funds.
This year, CFT will host two complimentary workshops for nonprofits interested in applying to be in the 2017-2018 Giving Guide. The workshops will take place at Communities Foundation of Texas with one in the morning from 9-11am and the second that afternoon from 2-4pm. Attendance at the workshops completely optional and organizations are not required to attend in order to submit an LOI.
The deadline for the 2017 Giving Guide is April 3rd and applications received after the deadline will not be considered. View full eligibility requirements here.
